Do Not Sell
Do Not Sell or Share My Info
Last updated: 2026-07-24
This page exists because California’s CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws grant a right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. Below: how that applies to this site, and how to act on it.
The Practice in Question
No money changes hands for your data. The relevant practice is this: where advertising runs, ad partners may receive cookie or device identifiers associated with your browser. Because ‘sale’ and ‘sharing’ are defined broadly in these statutes, that may qualify — so we offer the opt-out regardless. No prior relationship with PlatterLane is needed — the right belongs to every visitor to platterlane.com.
What to Expect
The change is to targeting alone: identifiers stop being shared, and any ads shown become generic. Site access is completely unaffected, and no reader is penalised for opting out.
How to Tell Us
The quickest route needs no message from you at all: enable Global Privacy Control in your browser or as an extension. We detect and honour that signal automatically on every visit. Alternatively, set your preference in the cookie consent banner where one is shown, or email hello@platterlane.com with ‘Do Not Sell or Share’ as the subject line. No account is needed, and we do not require you to create one.
Full detail on state privacy rights, including access and deletion, is in our State Privacy Notice.
